Architect, PhD and Founder, Habitat Evolutivo®
Caterina Locati is an architect, PhD and researcher, and an expert in the profound impact of spaces on human well-being.
Following his studies at the Polytechnic University of Milan, he practised as an architect for years, dealing with design, site management and LEED certifications as a LEED AP.
From this technical background, in 2008 he moved towards independent research into the intangible dimension of places and their impact on human wellbeing, which in 2010 would give rise to his authored work: an avant-garde perspective that treats place as an active informational subject, capable of dialoguing with those who experience it on a plane that precedes the language of functionality, aesthetics and design.
What characterises Caterina's work is the intersection in which she moves. The scientific frameworks of quantum physics and epigenetics coexist in her approach with the concreteness of architecture, the enhancement of property assets and people's emotional dimension.
Over 16 years of field research, he has consolidated a precise thesis: in contemporary wellness, the client's body perceives the quality of a space long before the mind reads and comprehends its design. Recognising, nurturing and professionally communicating the informational and intangible quality of a place thus becomes a strategic positioning asset, capable of enhancing and differentiating a real estate portfolio and, above all, helping people to enter into a deeper and more conscious connection with places, for an even more authentic level of well-being.
She translated this research into the Evolutionary Habitat® system: operational protocols where technical culture and evolutionary vision integrate to create environments of high regenerative value.
She shares her vision as an author through the essays La vita segreta delle case (2019) and Oltre l’abitare (2026, GDL Edizioni/Macro), and writes editorial contributions for QILife, a magazine by Il Quotidiano Immobiliare dedicated to the relationship between real estate, wellbeing, people and the local area.
