Global Director of Wellness and Longevity – Kerzner International

Bio

Robert Jeffers is the new Global Director of Wellness and Longevity at Kerzner International. Operating across the brands Atlantis, One&Only, SIRO and Rare Finds, he aligns the wellness strategy with the positioning of each brand, drives business performance and defines new concepts focused on wellness, recovery and longevity within the group’s development, renovation and repositioning projects.
In this role, Robert brings to Kerzner’s wellness offering a rare combination of deep clinical expertise, commercial rigor, and a strategic vision that spans the entire portfolio of brands. He will lead the group’s approach to the topic of longevity – one of the fastest-growing segments in the luxury travel industry – translating this momentum into concepts, treatments, and partnerships tailored to each brand: from the large-scale, family-oriented wellness offerings of Atlantis to the intimate, destination-focused retreats of One&Only, to the performance and recovery focus of SIRO and the customized solutions for the brand’s facilities, Rare Finds.
His proven ability to transform wellness into a measurable business engine, rather than simply a cost center, will be crucial in approaching new developments and renovations: wellness facilities dedicated to recovery, rejuvenation, and longevity will thus be integrated from the very early stages of design, rather than being added at a later stage. As a researcher with scientific publications and a professional background in nutrition, Robert introduces a rigorously scientific approach, helping Kerzner navigate an increasingly crowded wellness landscape by focusing on concepts, treatments, and collaborations based on concrete evidence.
After gaining experience in the management of wellness at the individual resort level, Robert today defines the strategy for the entire global portfolio of Kerzner, focusing on consistency, credibility, and innovation. His commitment is aimed at ensuring that every wellness experience is based on proven results – going beyond the mere trends of the industry – while simultaneously investing in specialized talent and adopting shared standards across the portfolio. His goal is to offer guests an consistently excellent experience, regardless of the brand or destination, by working closely with the development and design teams to make Kerzner’s wellness offering ready to welcome the new generation of travelers who prioritize recovery, wellness, and longevity. He took up the position after two successful years as Director of Wellbeing at Atlantis, The Palm, where he managed one of the largest wellness facilities within a resort in the Middle East, contributing to defining the resort’s integrated approach to guest wellness.
Robert brings over 20 years of international experience in leadership roles in the luxury spa, wellness, and hospitality sectors. Before joining Atlantis, he managed the pre-opening phase of the wellness center at Raffles London at The OWO, collaborating with Guerlain and PILLAR to create an offering that, just three months after launch, earned the “Best New Spa” award from the Good Spa Guide. He has also held senior positions at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong – whose spa has received the “Five-Star” recognition from Forbes for several consecutive years – and at the resort BodyHoliday in Saint Lucia.
He holds a Master Certificate in Hospitality Management from Cornell University, a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Sports Science from Brunel University, and a postgraduate certificate in Nutritional Therapy. He is also the author of scientific research: he coordinated a study on the effects of carbohydrate-based mouth rinses on neuromuscular fatigue, published in the journal *Applied Physiology, Nutrition, and Metabolism*.
