Wellness Senior Advisor, Founder – Wahayala | Partner – RoseBar Longevity, Ageback
Anna Bjurstam has spent over 25 years shaping the modern wellness industry – and with Wahayla, she is ushering this work into its next chapter.
Wahayla, her new wellness and longevity company, is named after the words meaning power of the heart. It is the vehicle through which Anna intends to evolve wellness and longevity in the world – building on all that has come before and pushing the sector into the future.
His career path has been anything but linear. In 1997, armed with a Master's degree in Finance and an extraordinary appetite for risk, he helped launch S.A.T.S. in Sweden, transforming it into the leading fitness chain in Scandinavia. In 2000, he became co-owner of Raison d’Être and, as sole owner since 2011, has transformed it into the consultancy behind more than 200 spas in 70 countries — setting the standards for luxury wellness from Bhutan to the Bahamas. The company was acquired by Pegasus Capital Advisors and, subsequently, by IHG in 2019.
From 2013 to 2026, Anna was Wellness Pioneer at Six Senses, where she led the work that made the brand the world’s leading hotel group in the wellness sector – a defining chapter of her career. Among numerous initiatives, she spearheaded the development of Six Senses Place, the brand’s urban membership club. Over a decade at Six Senses proved her thesis: rigorous science and warm hospitality are not opposing forces, but the same discipline. Wahayla is where this thesis evolves further, offering consultancy to hotel groups, fitness brands, and medical clinics seeking to sell years of life, not just overnight stays.
She is also co-founder of V Social Club (now AgebackCo), a club focused on longevity, hyperbaric medicine, and biohacking lifestyle, and co-founder of Rosebar Longevity. Since 2007, she has served on the board of directors of the Global Wellness Summit and personally invests in founders and ideas she believes will define the next decade of the industry.
What sets Anna apart is everything she refuses to exclude. Three decades of Vipassana, Siddha Yoga, shamanic practices, plant medicine, and a degree in BioGeometry coexist with deep expertise in longevity science, quantum physics, and business strategy. She is equally at home in a boardroom, on a conference stage, or conducting a fire ceremony – and compellingly argues that the future of the wellness industry depends on people who can move fluidly between these three worlds.
