Senior Director of Spa & Wellness – Four Seasons

A passionate wellness advocate, Amanda Schmiege has dedicated her career to wellness and hospitality for the past two decades. After taking her first steps in a local wellness centre in Michigan, Amanda has expanded her experience globally, transforming and opening wellness centres and gyms in several luxury destinations, including Chicago, Orlando, New York, Hawaii and Dubai. Amanda has worked for iconic brands such as Elizabeth Arden, WTS International, Starwood, Marriott and now Four Seasons. She previously worked in Dubai at Al Habtoor City, opening the spas, pools and leisure areas for the St. Regis, W Hotel and Westin complex, marking her success with the opening of 8 properties to date. She has also held the role of Regional Head of Marriott Spa, supporting 15 other spas in the Dubai and Abu Dhabi region. Amanda has worked for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts for 8 years, starting in Hawaii and moving to Dubai 2 years ago. As Senior Spa Director, she supports several properties and projects, including the most recent openings in the Red Sea. Amanda graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Organisational Behaviour, also completing studies abroad at University College London. She holds a certification in nutrition from NASM. In her spare time Amanda enjoys wellness, being in nature, hiking, trying new types of workouts, sound therapy, reading and eating well. She is always busy planning her next adventure or travel itinerary.
