President - Federterme Confindustria
Massimo Caputi, founder and major shareholder of Feidos Spa, is one of the leading figures in Italian real estate finance, having held senior positions in private and public companies of European significance.
From 2013 to 2015 he was Executive Vice President of Prelios SpA (formerly Pirelli Real Estate) with a mandate for Business Development, a real estate group listed on the Milan Stock Exchange since 2002.
From 2000 to 2011, he was CEO of FIMIT (now Idea FIMIT), when he led the merger of FIMIT with an SGR controlled by De Agostini Group, creating the first player in the sector with about €10 billion AuCap: Idea FIMIT SGR.
He was Vice President with a mandate for Business Development in Italy until April 2012. In April 2012, he sold his stake in Idea FIMIT.
In early 2002, the Minister of Economy appointed him CEO of the Sviluppo Italia Group (a national company with the mission of attracting foreign capital to Italy, today Invitalia). Under his leadership, the company raised more than one billion Euro in investments in three years and made profits of more than 10 million Euro.
In June 1996, Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane appointed him CEO of its subsidiary Termini S.p.A., which became Grandi Stazioni S.p.A. in 1998. His objective was to develop a pilot project to make the management of Roma Termini Station profitable. After successfully building this operation, he then led the privatisation of the company and launched new projects for the renovation and improvement of large national and international railway stations.
In addition to his many entrepreneurial activities, today Massimo Caputi places his experience at the disposal of the Confindustria world, with skills and maturity that are particularly valuable in the period of the country's greatest economic and social crisis and great legislative ferment. He holds the position of President of Federterme and is a member of the Confindustria-Credito&Finanza working group. As President of Federterme, he actively participates in all Federturismo initiatives to lift the entire sector, in a constructive and united spirit, out of the very serious crisis triggered by Covid19.
The extensive network of international relations built up over years of management and the authoritativeness in the Real Estate and Tourism sectors, especially Spa, are the keys to the success of its many business projects, always guided by a partnership approach.
