Corporate Director of Spa & Retail - Starwood Hotels

Alena has over 20 years of global experience with luxury brands and trends in the spa and wellness industry. Specialising in innovative strategic planning and hospitality management, Alena began her career at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in 2003. During her tenure at Ritz Carlton, she worked in several of the company's locations, including Key Biscayne, South Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Tayson's Corner, Sarasota and St. Thomas, USVI. In 2010, Alena opened the 20,000 square foot ESPA at The Istanbul EDITION hotel as Executive Spa Director. In September 2013, Alena worked for the Viceroy Hotel Group as Regional Executive Director of Spa and Wellness, overseeing the spa, fitness and recreation departments. In 2016, Alena joined 1 Hotels, opening their first spa, 1 Hotel South Beach, which led her to her current role as Corporate Spa and Retail Director for Starwood Hotels, where she is responsible for global spa and retail development, branding, strategy, design, pre-opening and ongoing operational support for Starwood Hotels, which operates 1 Hotels, Baccarat Hotels, Treehouse Hotels and SH Collection.
